Carl Ka-Ho Li [kah-hoh] was born in Hong Kong and raised in Connecticut. Ever since childhood, he has been passionate in his pursuit of the creative arts and self-expression through various mediums. He has lived in NYC since 2004, working on various film, television, stage and dance productions; producing an album, editing novels, creating content for his blog and online shows and designing board games.
Education & Experience
He graduated the Academy of the Arts high-school (Greater Hartford, CT) as a dance major, where he also developed an interest in poetry and performance Art. He was a member of “Looking In Theatre” and the “Oddfellows Playhouse,” (Middletown, CT), the performance group “Fiesta!,” and co-founder and choreographer of the group “Power Surge.”
He earned a BFA in Acting from the University of Connecticut, where he studied Stanislavski, Absurdism, Contemporary Classics, Greeks, Shakespeare and trained in the Suzuki Actor Training under Eric Hill.
He moved to NYC around 2004 and furthered his actor training in the Eric Morris System at the Bova Actor’s Workshop, NYC.
He was member of the David Shen Dance Group, having aided in the formation of its current iteration in 2010.
Carl has also been involved with the Asian American Film Lab, a non-profit, since 2006, and was the president from 2010-2012.
He has been a member of SAG-AFTRA since 2005, and is currently on their Asian Pacific American Media [APAM] Committee.

In addition to acting, he has begun pursuing writing, and exploring creator-owned content.
He had found a mentor in multi-media artist Sean Boggs, and began a monthly Creative Collective group to help others share and support eachother in their creative endeavors.
